fastest mountain railway in the UK takes your guests
in comfort and safety to the contemporary Ptarmigan
building 1097m (3600ft) above sea level. There you
will find the highest restaurant and function venue

terrace where your ceremony can be performed against
a stunning backdrop of lochs and mountains.
Ceremonies can also be performed on the train.
Cairngorm Mountain’s professional staff will provide
food and service to the highest standards with
imaginative menus and traditional dishes, all
tailored to your requirements and making extensive
use of the best local Highland produce. Your meal
can be accompanied by fine wines, Speyside malt
whiskies and locally brewed beers. Lighting,
floristry, AV, dancing and entertainment can also be
arranged. Smaller functions can also be accommodated
in other spaces both on and off-site. CairnGorm
Mountain stands at the heart of the Cairngorms

Directions by road
CairnGorm Mountain is a scenic 15-minute drive from
Aviemore along the B970 past Loch Morlich. Aviemore
lies right beside the A9 some 30 minutes south of
Inverness and 2 hours north of Edinburgh.
Directions by rail
There is a station at Aviemore with regular services
to Inverness, Perth, Stirling, Edinburgh and
Glasgow. The journey to Edinburgh takes
approximately 21/2 hours.
