Introduction
There is no hire
charge for this unique venue and very special
wedding destination. Step back in time, into the
former hunting lodge, built in the early 19th
century by the Cawdor family, who have owned the
spectacular Highland estate for 800 years. Cawdor is
a magical name romantically linked with Macbeth.
Over grouse
moors, through pine forests down into the beautiful
Findhorn valley, located on the banks of the River.
Drynachan Lodge offers guests a very warm welcome
and exclusive use, for the perfect house party
venue. There are 13 bedrooms all individually and
tastefully furnished, keeping the history maintained
throughout, by Lady Isabella Cawdor.
Drynachan
specialises in smaller intimate weddings, at a
fraction of the cost and none of the formality of
larger hotels. A marquee can be erected on the
helicopter pad for larger wedding celebrations. We
are not licensed for Civil Ceremonies, but Nairn
Registry Office is nearby. Religious ceremonies can
be conducted by the local minister, either in the
Lodge, elsewhere on the Estate, maybe even the
Black Bothy, or in the beautiful Church in Cawdor
Village.
We can make all
of the arrangements for you, with our small but
dedicated team, nothing is too much trouble. Our
chef will discuss your individual preferences, which
can include Estate salmon, game birds, Venison or
lamb.
Drynachan Lodge
is not licensed, however do supply all soft drinks,
you can bring along your favourite wines, spirits
and Champagne with you, there are no inflated prices
(although we do make a small corkage charge)
