Introduction
Spectacular scenery, wonderful hospitality and an ancient 15th
century Castle. What more could you ask for when
planning your wedding?
This will be one of the most important decisions of your life and
you want it exactly as in your dreams. This is why
Dornoch Castle provides an experienced Co~ordinator
to reassure you and help to make your dreams come
true.
Dornoch is recognized as one of the driest areas in the UK
(comparable with the south east of England) and we
at the Castle love to use our beautiful walled
gardens whenever we can. This is also very helpful
when our bridal party is piped over to the Cathedral
for the ceremony.
There are excellent photographic opportunities in our Gardens, in
front of the fires and on the beach.
Our wedding package is completely flexible and we can work on any
ideas that our couples may have. (www.dornochcastlehotel.com).
2 to 150 ~ all are welcome.
We can cater for up to 90 persons in our Garden Restaurant, which
opens out directly into our pretty walled gardens.
For larger weddings (up to 150), we can attach a
marquee directly on to this room to create a very
large and interesting area.
For small intimate gatherings (up to 20 max) we have our Terrace
Lounge and this room is available for small
ceremonies of up to 30 also.
Our gardens have been used frequently for ceremonies, both
religious and non-religious.
The Castle does not have a civil licence, but
the beautiful Cathedral
(www.dornoch-cathedral.com)
and the local registry are but 1 minute’s pretty
walk away.
Wedding Testimonials
‘We have received many lovely letters and telephone
calls from grateful guests. “The nicest wedding I
have ever attended.” “The best food I have eaten at
a wedding reception” are just two typical comments.
Thank you all so very much for a truly wonderful
Wedding party. Juliet commented to me as she and
Michael left for their honeymoon: “I had hoped for
a fairy tale wedding and I got one”.

"Ros & Colin, Now that we have had
chance to catch our breath, Michaela and
I wanted to thank you both, along with
everyone else at the hotel for the most
perfect wedding day. From the moment we
booked Dornoch Castle your input really
made a difference in shaping our day and
nothing was too much trouble whoever we
spoke to. The room was simply stunning
and everyone commented on the quality of
the food and the friendly and yet
professional service throughout the day
and evening.
We will never forget our highland
wedding and will return hopefully in the
not too distant future. Attach a
photo as a momento"
