Everyone wants their wedding day to be perfect, which is exactly what we aim to provide. Fettes College provides a stunning backdrop to your wedding photographs, a breathtaking private chapel, an elegant reception hall, superb dining facilities and the option of a marquee - all decorated to your specification.

Imagine a champagne reception on the lawn looking across to Edinburgh Castle, personalised menus catering for any taste, church bells ringing from our private chapel, and a traditional Scottish Ceilidh with piper heralding the newlyweds.

Planning your special day needn't be stressful because we offer a dedicated wedding co-ordinator who will help and advise you along the way to ensure that preparing for your wedding at Fettes is a relaxed and enjoyable affair.

Directions by road

Edinburgh is situated to the South of the Firth of Forth and with all major roads and motorways converging on it, can easily be reached from all parts of Scotland.

From the M8 and M9: Heading towards Edinburgh, leave the M8 at Junction 1 and join the A720 (Edinburgh Bypass) heading North.  Continue for approximately 1 mile and at the roundabout take the second exit to join the A8 (signposted Edinburgh). *Within 300 metres bear left at the first set of traffic lights on to the A902 (signposted Forth Road Bridge). Follow this road for approximately  1.5 miles, straight across the first roundabout, and at the second roundabout (Barnton) take the third exit to join the A90 (signposted City Centre).  Continue along the A90 (Queensferry Road) for approximately 2 miles and bear left at Blackhall junction on to Telford Road (A902), signposted Leith.  After 1 mile, at the roundabout (Crewe Toll) take the third exit on to Ferry Road and then the first turning right on to East Fettes Avenue.  The entrance to Fettes College will be seen at the top of the rise after 600 metres on the right-hand side.

From the A1: Leave the A1 at its junction with A720 (Edinburgh Bypass) and join the bypass.  Continue along the A720 for approximately 13 miles to its junction with the A8 and at the roundabout take the second exit to join the A8 (signposted Edinburgh). Follow directions from the Asterisk as above.

From the Forth Road Bridge: After crossing the bridge join the A90 Eastwards (signposted Edinburgh).  Continue along the A90 for approximately 7 miles and bear left on to the A902, Telford Road (signposted Leith).  After 1 mile, at the roundabout, take the third exit on to Ferry Road and then the first turning right on to East Fettes Avenue. The entrance to Fettes College will be seen at the top of the rise after 600 metres on the right-hand side.

On Arrival: Visitors are requested to report to Reception.  Car Parking is available adjacent to Reception.

Directions by rail

Rail users may travel to nearby Waverly Station (10 minutes by car or taxi) or Haymarket Station (10 minutes by car or taxi); both are main line stations with regular service connections to all parts of Scotland and other parts of the United Kingdom.
