When you choose Forbes of Kingennie as the venue for your luxury wedding, Scotland is on your doorstep. The estate is easily accessible from the rest of Scotland, being just a few miles from Dundee and less than two hours’ drive from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Your guests will thank you, not just for the location but for choosing such a wonderful Scottish wedding venue.

The Country House function suite, with a capacity of 110 guests for the wedding breakfast and an extra 30 in the evening, has fantastic views of the countryside, perfect for your wedding album and one of the many reasons why people choose Forbes of Kingennie for their wedding. Angus Council has granted a licence for civil ceremonies to be carried out at the estate, which can now be the venue for both the ceremony and reception.

The balcony of the country house function suite, overlooking extensive fishing ponds, provides the perfect setting for Scottish traditional wedding photographs. Luxurious lodges are available for guests to stay at and for the couple themselves, there is the Leannan Boathouse.

And aside from the luxurious function suite and charming surroundings and luxury accommodation, there are other reasons for picking Forbes of Kingennie as your Scottish wedding reception venue. The estate is located just a few miles from Dundee and access to Scotland's arterial road network, making it easy for guests to attend your wedding reception in Scotland.

If you are looking for a more intimate wedding with just a few guests then Kingennie Court is the perfect venue.

The lounge can accommodate around 20 guests for the wedding breakfast and we can provide your own personal chef to prepare the meal, and a member of our Food & Beverage Team to serve the meal.

Kingennie court has a large decking area with views over the golf course and is licenced to hold civil ceremonies both inside the lodge and in the grounds surrounding the lodge. This really is a stunning getaway and perfect for the smaller wedding.

The jewel-in-the-crown of the Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort and the perfect 'First Night' accommodation, is the lavishly and lovingly refurbished Leannan Boathouse. Built in 1855, the Leannan Boathouse, which is Gaelic for 'sweetheart', has been restored to provide the perfect luxury retreat for couples.

Woodland Lodges

Built around some of Scotland’s most famous trout fishing waters, 14 luxurious holiday lodges nestle in the woodland and also around the Forbes of Kingennie ponds, providing exceptional wedding accommodation and a home-from-home for your wedding or corporate guests. Lodges have a four-star self catering rating and benefit from en-suite bathrooms. Each has Sky TV and all linen is provided.

Kingennie Court

Stunning wedding guest accommodation at Corporate Kingennie includes two luxury 10-bed lodges which each contain five twin-bedded rooms with en-suite shower rooms, fully fitted kitchen and spacious lounge. Each room is decorated to a very high standard and has complimentary Wi-Fi.

Other accommodation

While we have on site luxury accommodation at the resort for around 80 guests, should your event require residential accommodation for larger numbers we are happy to suggest and recommend alternative ‘overspill’ accommodation locally. The main centre is naturally Dundee, where there is a variety of large chain or group hotel and travel lodge accommodation – admittedly not of quite the same standard as ours!

Naturally the key benefit of accommodating your wedding guests on site is that they are with you throughout, and they always continue to enjoy all the high standards for which we are so well known, as well as the seclusion of an enchanting woodland area, adjacent to our wedding suite, overlooking our four trout-fishing lochans and the nine-hole golf course.
