Nestled on a hillside, 12 miles west of St Andrews, Hill of Tarvit is a treasure chest filled with beautiful pieces of art. It is perhaps the finest Edwardian mansion in Scotland designed by the architect Sir Robert Lorimer. Frederick Bower Sharp, a Dundee jute manufacturer, commissioned the leading Scottish architect to design him a place to showcase his art and antique collection. Home to an impressive collection of paintings and furniture, it is the epitome of Edwardian elegance.

The charming interior of the Great Hall is decorated with warm oak panelling, adorned with detailed carvings. This grand room with its 16th century Flemish tapestries makes a baronial setting for lavish wedding breakfasts seating 50 guests or 100 for wedding drinks receptions. In summer guests can relax, chat and wander through the French windows out onto the terrace whilst sipping drinks and taking in the incredible views across the Howe of Fife. Whilst the Dining Room is perfect for entertaining intimate numbers of up 16 guests for a casual, intimate or exclusive wedding. The lush lawns and terraces, complete with sweeping stone staircases, can host marquees amongst the magnificent gardens providing an alternative to indoor receptions. Surrounded by woodland and rose gardens, the grounds are simply beautiful.
