Kellie Castle

By Pittenweem, Fife, KY10 2RF

The most important day of your life can never be too grand, too precious, too spectacular or too special. Imagine your wedding in a castle full of history and grandeur, romance and intrigue that will only inspire your guests and impress beyond all belief. Picture your perfect day taking place in our enchanting castle, have a day unlike any other and leave you and your guests with wonderful lifelong memories.

Located near the charming little fishing village of Pittenweem, famous for its splendid shellfish, and in a relatively undiscovered corner of Scotland, time seems to have stood still for Kellie Castle. Only 10 miles from St Andrews, this 14th century home is idyllic, atmospheric and steeped in history. Wander through the enchanting castle on a discovery that spans centuries and will take your wedding guests breath away.

Beautifully restored in the 19th century by the artistic Lorimer family who fell head over heels in love with Kellie Castle, it retains much of its 17th century structure and exquisite interiors.

This ancient castle, overflowing with atmosphere and filled with magnificent décor, is perfect for wedding celebrations. The distinguished drawing room, large and impressive, with elegant artwork and grand fireplaces, also known as The Great Hall, makes a splendid backdrop for wedding ceremonies for up to 70 guests. The Dining Room, where tapestries adorn the walls amongst the richly decorated ornate ceiling, can seat 30 guests for an intimate wedding. The castle boasts its very own petite chapel, seating 10 people, that makes it perfect for a very intimate wedding venue or family ceremony. Grand events can take place on the lawn by the secret walled garden for as many as 300 guests. The serene, secluded grounds and mature, colourful gardens of the castle are perfect for wedding photographs, with breathtaking views over the rolling fields to the Firth of Forth.

We have turned wedding planning and organisation into an art. Whether it is a formal breakfast, a buffet or a more intimate party, our Wedding Designer will make all the arrangements leaving you relaxed and free to enjoy your day.

We can help you arrange beautiful flowers, create the most gorgeous table themes and serve simply sumptuous food… we can even write the invitations and provide the music to get the celebration into full swing. Organised but unobtrusive, stylish but not over-stated, we have the experience and expertise to make your wedding day go like a dream.
