“So extravagant it’s like walking onto the set of
some flamboyant costume drama”
Prestonfield has been heaped with superlatives since
its lavish refurbishment by Witchery by the Castle
owner, James Thomson. Now this
17th Century baroque mansion, built for
the City’s Lord Provost, is Edinburgh’s most
photogenic and indulgent wedding venue. Hidden in
Royal Holyrood Park, moments from the Royal Mile,
Prestonfield is ideal for all weddings, from small
intimate ones in historic private rooms to
spectacular events for up to 500 in the
circular ballroom.
