Surgeons’ Hall
is an exclusive and romantic venue for holding your
wedding in Edinburgh.
The impressive
historical Playfair Building
offers a variety of room sizes to hold your ceremony
and wedding breakfast, and provides the perfect
setting for wedding photographs. The complex also
boasts beautiful gardens in which to stage your
wedding photos – weather permitting of course.
Ceremonies
Surgeons’ Hall
holds a civil wedding licence, enabling you to hold
your wedding ceremony in the
Playfair Hall, Fellows’
Library or King Khalid
Building.
Religious ceremonies
can be held in any of our exclusive rooms, each
offering a unique and amazing experience.
Receptions
The contemporary
Wolfson Hall located within
Quincentenary Building can cater for a
reception of 180 guests or as a banquet suite can
accommodate up to 230 people.
The hall has been
fitted with a sprung floor ideal for ceilidh
dancing.
Catering
We will provide
first-class cuisine with an irresistible array of
menus featuring the finest local and international
ingredients. Whilst planning your wedding, you can
sample wonderful menus by requesting a tasting
session before deciding on which menu would
compliment your big day.

knowledge and experience, a consultation appointment
will help us identify your requirements for

the Year 2011 by the Federation of Chefs Scotland &
Cater of the Year 2010.

The nearest exit
from the City Bypass (A702) is the Straiton
junction. From here follow the signs for the
City Centre. The route is fairly straight,
through Liberton. At the foot of Liberton Brae
go straight on to Liberton Road and continue
straight on at the traffic lights. Carry
straight on for approx. 2km. This continues into
Clerk St, which then continues into Nicolson
Street.
Parking
There are metered
parking spaces in Hill Place (very limited), and
Chambers Street. A public car park is close by
at the Pleasance.

There is a regular bus
and taxi service from Edinburgh Airport, situated to
the West of the city. The Airport Bus terminates
next to Waverley Train Station.
