Nestling on the banks
of the River Tay, the Kenmore Hotel is famous for
its warmth, charm, Highland hospitality and vivid
history...
The privately owned
Kenmore Hotel is situated in the Heart of the
Scottish Highlands, deep within Rob Roy and Campbell
country. A beautiful setting and historical location
offer a touch of paradise unspoiled by time with
rooms, restaurants and bars offering superb views of
the surrounding mountains and river.
Rabbie
Burns in 1787 was so struck by the area, that he
composed a poem sitting on the bridge over the Tay
and wrote it in pencil on the chimney breast of the
fireplace in our Poet’s Bar - where it is to this
day.
As Scotland’s Oldest
Inn, the Kenmore Hotel has a historical ambience and
atmosphere that makes it a very special place to
hold your very special day.
Based in the heart of
highland Perthshire and encircled by stunning views,
it is home to three distinct spaces that are ideal
for weddings of all sizes; a traditional styled room
with a large stone fire (capacity 24) and two larger
function suites with panoramic views over the River
Tay. The hotel can cater for religious and civil
ceremonies and is an ideal location for both
traditional and modern weddings. The church is only
a stone’s throw away and a jetty at the rear of the
hotel is positively surrounded by awe-inspiring
scenery, both offer great photo opportunities.
The team work closely
with each bride and groom to help them plan their
day. They also give recommendations for local
suppliers – everyone from hairdressers to beauty
therapists, photographers and videographers. “We
enjoy seeing months of planning coming together to
make the wedding day enjoyable for the bride and
groom and their guests”.
