All 199 rooms and suites at The Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square offer the most sumptuous, air conditioned comfort in the heart of the city.

Many in the original building retain the charming architectural features of this historic Georgian building, and some have views over leafy Charlotte Square. Our modern bedrooms have a contemporary style, and all feature good sized beds, en suite bathrooms, and little extra touches to make your stay with us really comfortable.

By Road

At junction 1 of the M8, follow City Bypass South, City Centre then at Hermiston Junction roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the
City Bypass. Immediately keep left, then at Calder Junction roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A71 Edinburgh West, City Centre.
At Bankhead roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A71 signposted City Centre A7. At Sighthill roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A71 signposted City Centre. At traffic signals turn right onto Henderson Terrace then turn left onto Dundee Street. Continue forward onto West Approach Road and at traffic signals turn left onto the A700, then at next traffic signals, turn right onto Princes Street. At West End, traffic signals turn left onto South Charlotte Street (signposted Berwick upon Tweed A1, East End) and continue into Charlotte Square. The Hotel is on your right.

Parking

We have on-site secure parking at the Hotel but spaces are limited. All parking reservations must be made direct with our Concierge and pre-booking is essential to guarantee a space.

Charges are:

£19.50 for 24 hours Sunday to Thursday
£22 for 24 hours Friday and Saturday

Honestly this is just few things, every little detail was perfect. We cannot think of one fault.
