Weddings and civil ceremonies at Ardtornish are very special indeed. We have been hosting ceremonies large and small, for many years, and have everything you need for a day you’ll never forget - an opportunity for you and your guests to enjoy one of Scotland's most beautiful private estates, with exclusive use.

Couples can choose to marry in Ardtornish House, in the gardens with their breath-taking views, outside the boathouse on the shores of Loch Aline, or anywhere else on the estate (within reason!). If you are looking for a church service, there is the lovely Keil Church outside Lochaline (3 miles from the house). With views up and down the Sound of Mull, a historic Celtic cross (seen opposite), and its collection of carved stones, it could be the perfect place for you before returning to the private estate for the Reception and Celebrations of the day.

Further afield is the smaller, more intimate Kingairloch Church in a beautiful bay overlooking Loch Linnhe, or the lovely pencil-towered Celtic church at Dervaig on Mull. Wedding parties here have used them all.

Following the service, we suggest drinks in the Drawing Room in front of a log fire, dinners in the Great Hall for up to 120 guests or smaller gatherings in the old Billiard Room, South Wing Landing or Dining Room, followed by dancing in the Hall.

For all your Wedding plans we can help finding Ceilidh bands, a disco, or both. We have a list of excellent bands who have played here before, as well as car hire companies, florists, photographers, pipers and all other suppliers we can recommend.

Then there’s the honeymoon. Start your married life in the four-poster bed of the house’s master bedroom, stay aboard a yacht moored in the loch before the house, or have a sea-plane to carry you away....
