"I would like you to pass in my personal thanks to all concerned for an excellent wedding last Saturday. All our guests raved about the venue and the smooth and professional way your team, led by Robert, handled the entire event. The quality of the food was excellent. Everything went like clockwork and any requests for help and assistance were attended to promptly and courteously. Clearly customer service is paramount at HAL and your team are well-trained and polite. All in all we had a great day-to-remember. Thank you. Again, many thanks for all you help and for the wonderful time you gave us."
Ian McMahon, Father of the Bride

"On behalf of my family I would like to say a huge thank you to you and all the wonderful team at House for an Art Lover for making Rachel and Theo's wedding day so wonderful.

First of all the venue is absolutely beautiful and each of the rooms that we used was just right for the occasion. Everything about the venue was so stylish - Rachel could not have picked a better venue. The food was delicious so please let the chefs know how delighted we were with everything. It all ran like clockwork and I was impressed with the way that the staff served our meals seamlessly with everyone getting what they ordered. Scott was amazing so please pass on our thanks to him. He kept everything running so smoothly and was such a lovely man, making us all feel confident that we were in good hands. Your staff were friendly and professional and we appreciate their hard work and the way they looked after us. Thanks also to you Hannah for co-ordinating everything so well. All of our guests said it was the best wedding ever and couldn't believe how we had arranged everything in such a short amount of time. However the credit goes to you again for providing us with a list of such excellent suppliers that we were able to use on the day. It's such a shame that the day was over in a flash - but I'm sure the photos will bring back lots of happy memories."
Sandra Symms, Mother of the Bride

"We had the best day on Friday!!! Everything exceeded our expectations, the venue looked beautiful, the food and service was perfect and even the weather stayed dry! Everyone we dealt with from the very beginning were so accommodating and helpful and made planning the day easy. Our guests seemed to have a great day, they loved the atmosphere of the house where the staff made them feel relaxed and looked after. We will definitely be back to the restaurant in the near future and would not look past you for any future events."
Amy Young, Bride

"We wer"e married at the House of an Art Lover on the 16th October. We chose the venue because of the magnificent location and the splendour of the facilities. Hannah, the wedding coordinator, guided us from start to finish, from menu choices and tastings, room choice, seating and table plans. There was no pressure and anything we weren’t sure about, she came with ease to the rescue. On the day the venue looked terrific, Robert the Event Operations Manager, kept discreet control and nothing was too much trouble. Everything we wanted was in place and the day ran like clockwork. The meal was fantastic, the staff very professional and the atmosphere was great. After the meal we arranged for a band to play and this took place in the restaurant on the ground floor. We didn’t want it to end. The day, the music, the atmosphere and especially the guests made our day. We would definitely do it again. If you are thinking about the House of an Art Lover, don’t hesitate, you will not be disappointed."
Herbert Hepner, Groom

"The venue and service was wonderful. We were all in awe when we arrived…. All the staff were warm friendly and worked really hard to ensure the day went well….. Everyone at the wedding were in awe of how well everything worked and had total praise for all the staff."
Hayley & Richard - 25th Jun 2016

"We were especially delighted we had chosen the House for an Art Lover as our venue, when the weather took a bit of a nose dive just as we were about to begin our photographs, because it truly is, such a beautiful place to celebrate in and can't dampen anyone's spirit."
Katy & Kevin 17th May 2016

"From the initial planning stages, to the final preparations and finally on the day itself, everyone at House for an Art Lover was extremely professional and efficient, friendly, and warm. Not one negative experience - and our guests all felt the same. We cannot recommend it enough!"
Helena & Mike 31st May 2016

"House for an Art Lover was our wedding venue on November 21 2015 and we couldn’t have hoped for a better day. Not only through the stunning house itself, but through the help of Rachel in the lead up and Robert on the day. Both are a credit to the House. When it’s set up for a wedding it’s utterly stunning and made it the perfect, best day of our lives. We were even lucky enough to be able to utilise the grounds outside to get some photos as the weather was fair. Certainly I would recommend this place to anyone looking at Glasgow wedding venues, and even just as a day out to inspect the stunning architecture and enjoy the lovely food!"

"My husband and I were married here last weekend, and we still can't get over how pretty the house and surrounding park are. The nearby walled garden is much better viewed during the summer months, but the grounds of the house and the park itself were gorgeous with the changing colours and lots of interesting statues and installations. Robert, Scott, Rachel and all the staff were extremely helpful, and really couldn't do enough - either during the planning stage, or on the day itself. Special diets, tweaks to the plan because of the weather, and all manner of other little things were dealt with easy and smooth efficiency. The food was lovely! We've eaten in the restaurant as well and it's all at a very high standard. The excellent service, along with the party, continued on late into the evening - the good food kept coming, and the DJ our planner recommended to us kept the dance floor full throughout the evening. All in all, it was an absolutely fabulous start to our new life together, with lovely memories, and a beautiful backdrop to all our photos. Highly recommended"

"We were at the Art Lover attending a wedding. The venue..the gardens..the staff/service was excellent. Such a lovely venue"

"I just got married at the weekend and had my wedding reception here. The service and quality of food was exceptional. I would like to say a big thanks to Robert the master of ceremonies as he made sure the day ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. I had spoken to him the day before to explain where I wanted decorations etc and everything was laid out to perfection. I would also like to thank Rachel the wedding planner for organising it all and for answering all my emails quickly and efficiently she made me feel like I was the only bride emailing her about my wedding as she was so happy to help and again nothing was to much bother even though I felt like I was pestering her. All my guests have commented on the venue and the food and I would definitely recommend this place as a wedding venue. I hope to return to more weddings here."

"My husband and I were wed here on 3rd October, all I can say is wow and thank you!

The venue itself is so beautiful we didn't need much to make it look set for a wedding, a few flowers and we were set. Rachel the wedding co-ordinator was great throughout the planning process, keeping us up to date and answering questions quickly.

"We had our ceremony in the Main Hall, wedding breakfast in the Music Room and reception in The Art Lover Cafe each room as perfect as the next. The food was fantastic and the drinks flowed. Every one of our guests has since commented on how well looked after they felt throughout the day.

Craig was amazing. We met with him the day before and he calmed us both right away. Even though I was panicking about being late he instantly calmed me down! He made sure my hubby and I had drink at all times and guided us through the day with warmth and calmness!

Can't thank you guys enough for giving us and our guest an amazing day. It was all we could have hoped for and more."

"If you are a bride to be and looking for a wedding venue then there is no better place than House For An Art Lover. We had our wedding here on the 23rd of October 2014 and it was the most amazing day ever! The staff are incredible. From the beginning the wedding coordinator Rachel could not do enough to make sure all of our plans came together, and believe me we had grand plans. We had so many little details to our day and nothing was too much trouble. Everything that we had planned was delivered by the staff and just as we had envisioned. Craig who was our event manager and master of ceremony was incredible. He was there for every step of the day, making sure that we had everything we needed and that everything ran to time. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the venue, the professionalism of the staff and the wonderful food. Even though it was raining outside we got some stunning pictures from inside the house and actually the autumn weather just made everything even more cosy.

Throughout the day our guests moved from one room to another so never got bored with their surroundings. The music room was bright and spacious for the drinks reception and had lots of talking points in the decor. The main hall was perfect for the wedding breakfast. We had a large wedding and the round tables made for a much more intimate dinner rather than the stuffy normal top table set up. Loads of our guests commented on how much they loved that we all sat near one and other. The evening reception was held in the cafe and the change to the contemporary look of this part of the house complimented the party atmosphere of the evening. We had 130 guests at night and at no point did it feel over crowded, even with the live band.

Comments from guests include it being one of the best weddings they have ever attended, to many requests to thank the staff for the wonderful food and service. If you are looking for a stand out wedding venue with incredible food and service do not look anywhere else! "

"The House looked fantastic, the food was amazing and under skilful eyes the whole day went like clockwork and the bride remained almost perfectly calm!"
