Your Venue

Moving up the red carpet and through the impressive doorway, you enter the flagstone foyer and pass the intricately carved doors into the baronial Lindsay Room with it’s 16th century oak panelled walls, ornate ceiling and large open stone fireplace. Catering for up to 60 day guests and a further 30 in the evening, the Lindsay Room is an unforgettable venue.

For the larger occasion, our luxury marquee lined with champagne silk is a stunning and elegant venue. With full amenities and luxury carpet throughout, the marquee glistens courtesy of the pink uplighters and the chandeliers that twinkle above our rosewood dance floor where 250 guests can share the experience of your bespoke wedding.

Your Ceremony

For your ceremony there are many options to choose from. The local parish church is situated in Kilconquhar village and rests overlooking the impressive loch. This is only a short horse and carriage drive away. Elie church is also nearby as is the grandeur of St Andrews University, both offering fantastic photograph opportunities.

Kilconquhar Castle has a collection of units, each with their own unique attributes, which blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings of the estate.

There are two and three bedroom Castle Suites, some of which enjoy the individual features such as turrets, four poster beds even a dungeon. There are also historical cottages that have been sympathetically restored with décor and accessories carefully chosen to complement the period features that have been retained. Views of the manicured grounds can be enjoyed from our two, three or four bedroom units which are located in over 130 acres of our estate.

Each of the properties are equipped with TVs, DVD, music system, telephone, towels, fully equipped kitchen which includes dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer and most have a Jacuzzi bath. Four bedroom units also have the added luxury of a private sauna room for you to enjoy at your leisure. There are a number of premier properties, all of which are three bedrooms and their features include conservatory, barbecue area, sauna utility room, the most exquisite have hot tubs in the private decked area at the rear of the property.

Directions road

To reach the estate by car we advise using the experts to give you the best directions. The AA website will give you detailed directions to make sure that you can find us straight away. To use the AA route planner simply visit their website www.theaa.com and type in the destination you will be departing from and use our postal cost as your destination KY9 1EZ. The route planner will then provide you will accurate up to date directions to the estate.

Directions by rail

If you are coming to us by train the closest train station to the estate is Leuchars, this is approximately 14 miles from the estate. Train times can be found on the Scot Rail website at www.scotrail.co.uk. The station has a wealth of taxis parked for trains that are inbound throughout the day which makes travelling from the station to the estate straightforward. If you would prefer to pre book a taxi this can be done so by contacting St Andrews Taxi's via their www.standrewstaxis.co.uk which allows for online bookings or by telephone 01334 871030.

Stagecoach buses also run outside the station if you would prefer to use the bus service to arrive at the estate. We would advise that if you are travelling with a large amount of luggage this is not a suitable option as the bus will stop at the bottom of our main drive and you would have a 10 minute walk from the bottom of the drive to the main reception. Directions by air

Edinburgh Airport is the closest airport to the estate. The airport is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh and does offer car hire services with pick-up and drop off services. The journey by car from the airport to the estate is approximately an hour depending on traffic and weather conditions. We would advise if you are driving from the airport without a satellite navigations system to use the AA route planner service which gives accurate up to date directions to the estate by using our postal code KY9 1EZ for your destination.
