Lunga House is a fine old Scottish Country House, originally a 16th century Tower House which has been castellated, turreted and set on green lawns amidst tangled woodland. The house benefits from stunning views of the sea stretching from the Corryvreckan to Loch Melford encompassing the islands of Jura, Scarba, Luing, Shuna and beyond to the mountains of Mull.

We describe ourselves as a little castle with a big heart and an event at Lunga is all about you. We like to think of Lunga as the setting in which you get to create the wedding of your dreams. You can get married anywhere on our beautiful grounds: in front of one of our enormous fires; by our hedged arch with the arbor as your aisle. Inside. Outside. Formal. Informal.

The exclusive use means you can wine and dine your guests for a minimum of 2 nights and have the party of your dreams in this amazingly remote setting. Celebrate until the small hours and have your guests leave well fed, well watered and wobbly kneed from dancing the night away. Lunga House provides the ideal setting for a special occasion, wedding or dinner party or a quiet retreat where you can enjoy walking, fishing, horse riding or simply relaxing in one of the many beautiful rooms or somewhere peaceful in the enchanting garden. Part of the charm of this little castle is its castle party feel. We would like you to welcome your guests here at Lunga as if it were your own home.

Our extensive grounds are beautiful…surrounding the house are lovely gardens and wooded areas that create the most perfect backdrop to any ceremony. Inside, you are welcome to host your ceremony wherever you like in our ballroom, morning room or dining room.

We don’t mind if your ceremony and celebration is small, medium or large. We’ll help you to find, and to dress, the perfect spot.

We can seat up to 100 guests in our magnificent ballroom and use our traditional grand dining room for smaller numbers. You are more than welcome to decorate rooms in whichever way you would like and our chef would work with you to ensure your menu reflects the food you enjoy!
