Our opulent Victorian and Georgian rooms, for up to 150 guests, coupled with award winning catering from Saltire Hospitality, create the perfect setting for your special day.

Exchange vows in the historic New Library, raise your glasses in the genteel Cullen Suite and dance late into the night in the grandeur of the Great Hall. The College is a truly beautiful venue for the wedding of your dreams.

You can also enjoy special use of our Physic courtyard Garden and the wonderful Queen Street Gardens for photographs – although when it comes to fine Scottish weather, you might want to skip straight to the ceilidh!
We really are the venue for extraordinary weddings, and our experienced team of Event Coordinators and approved caterer Saltire Hospitality will make it easy for you every step of the way.  Saltire Hospitality with their dedicated Wedding Coordinator and team of avant-garde foodie chefs will be with you from beginning to end, alongside the event coordinator from the college, ensuring every wish you have is fulfilled to the highest of standard.

New Library

The New Library is an awe-inspiring room dating back to the 1870s. A vast number of books, some hundreds of years old, fill floor-to-ceiling wooden cabinets, giving just a taste of the fascinating history of the College. Grand marble fireplaces at either end of the room create a warm atmosphere in which to welcome your guests.

The New Library is suitable for wedding ceremonies of up to 100 guests, drinks receptions for 150 and dinners for 50.

Great Hall

With its astounding pillars, impressive Greek statues and rich crimson walls, our Great Hall has a regal feel. Dating back to the Victorian era, the Great Hall is a magnificent room which can accommodate ceremonies and breakfast for 150 guests. You are welcome to invite an additional 30 guests to join in the evening celebration, with plenty of space for a ceilidh and live music to dance the night away.

Cullen Suite

Part of one of the earliest New Town houses in Edinburgh, the Cullen Suite is a bright, airy collection of rooms with stunning, ornately decorated ceilings. The Georgian rooms boast a view to Queen Street Gardens and across the Firth of Forth to Fife.

It is a breathtakingly beautiful space for intimate ceremonies, receptions or dinner of up to 40 guests.

Physic Garden and Queen Street Gardens

Nestled in the heart of the College is the private Physic Garden.  This peaceful courtyard provides a romantic setting for your wedding photographs.  In addition we can offer the use of the elegant Queen Street Gardens as a wonderful location for photographs.
